Udo Jung is a Senior Partner and Managing Director of the Boston Consulting Group. He is based in Frankfurt and joined BCG in 1990.
Udo is focuses on the chemical, petrochemical and chemical distribution industries, supporting companies on essential strategic and operations issues in different regions of the world. He leads transformational projects in these industries, specifically in areas of corporate strategy, portfolio management and the transformation of operating models. Udo has advised leading companies on acquisition-based growth and transformation strategies and led major post-merger integration efforts. Specifically, he supports global chemical and petrochemical companies in improving their value trajectory, also leveraging BCG studies on value creation in the chemical & petrochemical industries.
Within the Boston Consulting Group, Udo founded the chemical and petrochemical practices. He is the author of numerous studies and publications in chemicals, petrochemicals and chemical distribution.
Udo studied business administration at Philipps University, Marburg and holds a PhD in business from the University of Illinois. He is married, has two grown up children and is a fan of historic maps atlases.
