From 2001 to January 2004, Dmitry Konov held the positions of Vice President/Head of Investment and Banking Department, and Managing Director of the Corporate Finance Directorate in AKB Trust and Investment Bank. In February 2004, Mr. Konov was appointed Adviser to the President of AK SIBUR JSC. On 12 February 2004, he became Acting Vice President for Strategic Development and Analysis at Sibur.
In October 2004, Mr Konov was Acting Vice President for Corporate Policy and Strategy at Sibur, and was appointed Vice President for Corporate Policy and Strategy at Sibur in November 2004. He then became Senior Vice President for Corporate Policy and Strategy at Sibur in January 2005. Mr Konov was appointed President of Sibur in November 2006.
Mr. Konov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1994, and then worked in AKB International Finance Company. From 1998 to 2000, he worked in the treasury of YUKOS oil company. In 2001, he received an MBA from the IMD institute.
