Jean-Jacques Mosconi started his career in 1983 as a Research Manager in the Economic Research Department at French utility Electricité de France. He joined Total Group’s Strategy Department in 1988 and in 1990 was appointed Operations Manager of the Donges refinery.
In 1994, he was named Vice-President of Total Group Downstream Activities in Italy and in 1998, VP of Total Group Worldwide Lubricants Activities.
In January 2002, Mr. Mosconi was appointed Senior Vice President, Strategy, Development, Research in the Refining-Marketing division.
In 2007, he was named Senior Vice President of Total Group Strategy and Business Intelligence Direction.
He was appointed Senior Vice President, Refining-Base Chemicals Europe in 2012 and SVP Refining and Chemicals for Middle East and Asia in 2014.
In 2018, he was named Total SVP of Amiral Project, a joint project with Saudi Aramco for a $9 billion Petrochemical Complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Mosconi, 62, is a graduate of Ecole Normale Supérieure (Mathematics) and of Institut d’Etudes Politiques, both in Paris, France.
