Andrew N. Liveris is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Dow Chemical Company, a global technology company focused on developing innovative solutions at the intersections of the physical, materials, polymer and biological sciences with 2013 annual sales of more than $57 billion.

A 38-year veteran of Dow and recognized global business leader, Liveris sits on the Board of Directors of IBM, is Chairman of the U.S. Business Council (an association of CEOs of some of the world’s most important business enterprises), and serves as an advisor to U.S. President Obama on manufacturing, energy and export issues.

Liveris is a worldwide advocate for the criticality of manufacturing, leading Dow’s collaborations with numerous governments on Advanced Manufacturing Plans and simultaneously driving the Company’s world-class investment and industry leadership in fast-growing regions around the globe. Building on Dow’s more than 35 years of experience in the Gulf, he led the formation of Sadara, a $20 billion joint venture with Saudi Aramco which, when completed, will be the world’s largest petrochemical complex ever built in a single phase.
