Daniele Ferrari, 51, is Chief Executive Officer of Versalis and Chairman of Matrìca, 50:50 joint venture with Novamont on renewable chemistry.
With over 25 years of experience in the chemical industry, Ferrari has built a reputable career in a variety of businesses. He worked for ICI (Imperial Chemical Industries) in several managerial assignements in Marketing, Planning and Business Management. From the UK, he managed the development of their global Fluorocarbons Business. He was then appointed Global Business Unit Director for the Polyurethanes Intermediates in Brussels. He also served as Managing Director of Huntsman Surface Science and then President of Huntsman Performance Products in Houston, Texas.
Under his leadership, the eni chemical company has now started a strategic move from a Polimeri Europa focused on Europe into a fast-track Versalis through the repositioning of its asset base, geography and portfolio.
Concurrent with his responsibilities at Versalis, Ferrari is also President of PlasticsEurope Italy and on the Steering Board of PlasticsEurope Brussels. He is also Vice-President of Federchimica and a Board Member of the Cefic ACOM Group.
